Love Your Neighbor - Founding Scriptures
John 14:15 "If you love me, you will keep My commandments.
Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and foremost commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
Galatians 5:14 The whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Matthew 25:40 The King will answer and say to them, `Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.
1John 13:17, 18
But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need
and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide
in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with
tongue, but in deed and truth.
St. Francis of
Assisi quoted, "At all times share the Gospel and when necessary
use words."
